But you’ll be astounded after knowing that Chandigarh is also in the list.  Yes… There are few of the places said to be Haunted in Chandigarh.

Haunted House Of Sector 16, CHD.

In sector 16 of chandigarh, there is a house numbered 215. The house is considered to be haunted and people believe it as it looks so spooky.

The story behind the house being haunted is that, a student committed suicide here and according to localites, his spirit shows up every night. There is one or the other person present around who claims to witness its presence.

But looking from the other side, you may go for this adventure and try out to visit the place.

Sukhna Lake

Yes! You can read it right.

It is Sukhna Lake. The most visited place, known for its beauty and for the beautiful birds migrating from different countries.

You’ll be shocked, knowing that this beautiful place has experienced lots of suicide cases due to which the area has been closed and no one can visit the place alone as some sort of negativity is felt . People consider that the people who committed suicide are still there in the form of spirit.

But if you want to feel the thrill, go and explore, find the truth by yourself.

Again Sector 16 – The Haunted Bridge

The story seems to be a bit filmy and unbelievable. This haunted place comes while going to General Hospital of sector 16. It is said that a girl is seen wearing a white apron and holding a lamp going down the bridge. And the most funniest part is that just like in movies she also disappears.

According to people over there, this girl was a practicing Doctor in the hospital and died due to an accident with truck. It’s been 20 years and she is haunting the place.

So many road accidents have been witnessed and all are having the same answer, that they saw a girl who disappeared all of a sudden.

Railway Guest House -Chandigarh

Yes,Railway station is said to be haunted.This is the most shocking part of the out of all the stories, that the most populated area can be haunted.

There is a room in Guesthouse of Chandigarh Railway,which is said to be haunted. This can be one of the most spooky story.

There are many people who witnessed few abnormal activities while staying there. Asper the overheard story, it is said that some sort of creepy ghost peep inside the bathroom while someone is taking shower.

So,better be aware of your surrounding, do check you bathroom window or any other corner before getting in for a shower.

Savitri Bai Phule Hostel – PU

Yet another filmy story,but young students have witnessed the presence of some ghostly thing and that so without a head. According to them, they were able to see it in the windows of some of the rooms of Hostel.

Students complained about this to the hostel authorities,but they couldn’t resolve the mystery.

So, here you have another place to visit and resolve the same,whether students are playing some prank or the story is true.

Sector 39 – Haunting Sati

So now, there is place in sector 39 of chandigarh with this temple like structure. This structure was to be built up as a temple in remembrance of a women who became sati. But the temple remained incomplete and that Sati Ghost lives in there.

As per the story told by the localites it is said that who so ever bows his/her head there gets haunted by this SATI ghost.

I find it strange to hear that PGI is haunted because of the aborted fetus stored in there and which are clearly visible to everyone. Being medical institute, these things are normal to be seen. But people feel some sort of paranormal activities there and it says a lot about other medical institutes.

So, be carefull while staying as an attendant.
